Northern Ontario Ring of Fire

This is an assignment I used with a Grade 10 Native Studies class, but I would also use it in Geography, History, and Canadian and World Issues classes.  We completed it at the end of a unit about the Ring of Fire.  Click on the map below to access the assignment.

The different options for products, that I included in the assignment, came from a resource called, Differentiating Instruction with Menus:  Grades 6-8 Language Arts, by Laurie E. Westphal.  This title is just one in a series.  There are many different books in this resource collection for a variety of grades (K to 8, but adaptable to secondary) and subjects (math, social science, language arts, science).  If you complete a search for, Differentiating Instruction with Menus, a big list of the different titles will show up.
